A top, bottom or a continuation pattern in the price action gives relevant information on what the market sentiment is now. The future is anybody's guess, but a break out from a continuation pattern just works. Magic tools that predict the future like Fibonacci and the like are complete nonsense.

Re: 5 Aspects of trading that will help you trade with consistent results

i open an account in this site only to reply to your article, you don't have any idea what you did to me after i read your notes last night,, it change my mind and mode and it give me the power to accept big lose in my last 3 trades and put for them stop before i lose all my capital , when i did that things i lost more than 50% of my account, but now am stress free and have new vision, and from now on with aid of god i will risk only 1% on each trade and max lose of 3 trades for i day and am out and start new day,, with this option i will never risk my full account,, and will sleep well as well,, i start today and won $4 and am happy with that,, while i already lost more than $1000 when i put close my bad trades, so with 1% risk from now on i will not see that much lose again,, thanks again for your nice article,, wish you a best and happy life forever,, and remember losing is part of the game,, god be with you

Re: 5 Aspects of trading that will help you trade with consistent results

Hi, it;s 2020 and your all articles show how to trade to be good trader. Currently, I trade the Aud/Usd because it fits my time frame. However, because of your instruction, I don't depend on the Aussie offering a trade, but rather which currency offers the best risk/reward and highest probablity trade.

Re: Fibonacci Retracements are Useless

I see couple of problem in this article, first of all you shown evidence of working Fibonacci levels, in practice when you draw them over a chart using algorithms, they hardly show any support, so from statistical point of view they don't work, which is what you are also saying but in a misleading manner.

Second you asked why should they work? In trading we shouldnt always ask "why", the fact is if many trader believe in that level as use it as an agreement level just because it's known to many it will work..no need to find cause for that

Re: Why it’s very dangerous to trade using trendlines

what about using auto trend lines(i use ghandifx auto trend line in mt4) for monthly charts. would that be safer if its longer term?

Re: Quick trick + Analysis

hello Raul, can you give me the exact definition of the word PRESSURE... i am abit confused with it ..can you pls explain me ..

Re: Why it’s very dangerous to trade using trendlines

I looked at the above trend lines your have drawn and everyone is drawn incorrectly, in fact the worst trend lines I have ever seen. I strongly agree with you. One of my friends literally forced me to look at the price and volatility and future. I looked at bitcoin, the charts and patterns on which we heavily rely on trading, and also volatility index. I couldn't understand why and how it's moving, and no reliable correlation factors. I also agree with you, not to trade with any kind of leverage, until we have enough understanding and experience of the nature of the instruments. Thank you so much for your discussion and your valuable insight. Much appreciate it.

Kind Regards Borhan

Re: Divergence Trading is a Complete Waste of Time (and Money)

Hello Steve, sounds like a good plan you've got there...

The main point here is, it is very important to understand that the nature of oscillators is to produce divergences... that's what they are meant to do, because they oscillate between two levels, sooner or later, we are going to get them...

So basically, when you trade using divergences, you are trying to go short, when the market in fact, has been moving up (and vice versa)...

In my opinion, there is no better place to go long, than when the market has been moving up...

What do you think?

Re: Divergence Trading is a Complete Waste of Time (and Money)

Hello Maryna... I have a divergence-based setup called a P5 using the eWavesHarmonics indicator. It is a strong indicator of the possible end to a corrective wave; a chance to buy the dips and sell the rallies. We don't trade negative divergence (particularly of an impulsive wave, as your pictures appear to show), we use it to alert to an opportunity (it's an easy thing to code), then trade the price action in the direction of the dominant trend. I've also been trading for well over a decade and I can say, with all conviction, that divergence can be extremely useful.

Re: Divergence Trading is a Complete Waste of Time (and Money)

Hi Raul, as usual, a very interesting subject as I know a few traders who are (obsessed?) with divergence and then miss good trades. I'm 100% with you on this one as well! However, I really appreciate your good description of divergence and reasons for it as I never hear traders mention the reasons you gave!
